The At A Glance section (p10) has news reports about a new species of giant orb spider from Madagascar and a whale having made the longest ever documented migration of any mammal (Brazil to Madagascar). There is also a longer article, "Mongoose of the marshes" by Nick Garbutt (p16), about the discovery of a new carnivore species in Madagascar: Durrell's vontsira.
