Voyages en Asie et à Madagascar 1887-1894

1. Voyage autour du monde (1887-1888): Dans un premier voyage d'étude, le prince visite successivement la Grèce, l'Égypte, la Chine, mais principalement l'Inde et le Japon. Cette première partie représenter donc les chasses dans le Népaul, les sites et les monuments de l'Inde, les coutumes et les curiosités du Japon.
2. De Paris au Tonkin à travers le Thibet inconnu (1889-1890): C'est le premier voyage de découvertes. On sait que le Prince avait pour compagnon de voyage l'explorateur Bonvalot.
3. Tonkin, Laos, Siam (1891-1892).
4. À travers Madagascar (1894): Un an avant nos soldats, le Prince avait traversé la grande Île africaine, de Tamatave à Majunga, en sens inverse de l'expédition français.

Nous nous attachons à mettre en relief surtout la partie pittoresque des Voyages. Le côté scientifique et la partie géographique font l'objet de plusieurs ouvrages déjà publiés.

Ici c'est la vie du Voyageur au jour le jour, les incidents du voyage que nous avons voulu représenter par ce mode de reproduction à la fois si fidèle et si saisissant "La Photographie". Ce sont les clichés même, faits par le Prince, que nous reproduisons.

L'Ouvrage sera complet en 25 fascicules environ. Il paraît un fascicule tout les semaines. 60 centimes le fascicule.

1. Voyage around the world (1887-1888): In a first study trip, the prince successively visits Greece, Egypt, China, but mainly India and Japan. This first part thus depicts hunting in Nepal, the sites and monuments in India, and the habits and curiosities of Japan.
2. From Paris to Tonkin through unknown Tibet (1889-1890): It is the first voyage of discovery. It is known that the Prince had as a travelling companion Bonvalot the explorer.
3. Tonkin, Laos, Siam (1891-1892).
4. Through Madagascar (1894): One year before our soldiers, the Prince crossed the large African Island, from Tamatave to Majunga, in the opposite direction of French expedition.

We endeavour to highlight in particular the picturesque parts of the Voyages. The scientific side and the geographical part are the subject of several works already published.

Here it is the daily life of the Traveller, the incidents of the voyage which we wanted to portray by this method of reproduction: "Photography" so faithful and so gripping. They are the very same plates, made by the Prince, that we reproduce.

The Work will be complete in approximately 25 booklets. A booklet appears every week. 60 centimes per booklet.
