Postage Stamp
A commemorative stamp depicting the face of George Bizet and a the closing scene from his opera Carmen, in which Don José stabs the eponymous heroine, marking 150 years since the composer's birth. It was issued on 29 September 1988 and has a face value of 270 francs (54 ariary). The stamp is cancelled with a postmark that is indistinct.
