This aircraft, registration 5R-MFB (constructor number 20680, line number 314) is a Boeing 737, specifically B737-2B2(A). Its first flight was in 1972 and spent its entire working life as part of the Air Madagascar fleet, from December 1972 to March 2006, after which it was scrapped. It was named "Sambirano".
This photograph shows 5R-MFB on the tarmac in its pre-1988 livery. The postcard was issued for the World Airline Fleets Monthly Series as number 8/5FC, printed in England by Ruskin Press Ltd.
