Mark Eveleigh wuchs in Westafrika auf und träumte von einem Leben als Reisender und Abenteurer. Er verbrachte den größten Teil des letzten Jahrzehnts mit Reisen in abgelegenen Regionen von Süd- und Mittelamerika, Südostasien und Afrika. Anfangs finanzierte er seine Reisen als Rohrverleger, Lieferwagenfahrer, Rausschmeißer, Security Guard, Parfüm- und Ölbildhändler. Er bedruckte T-Shirts in Ecuador und verkaufte Time-Shares auf den Französischen Antillen, bevor er sich im Alter von 26 Jahren entschloss, Reiseschriftsteller zu werden.
Heute lebt er mit seiner Frau Blanca in Madrid. Hier schreibt er Artikel für verschiedene internationale Tageszeitungen und Magazine und schmiedet neue Reisepläne.

About the Author (English Translation)

Mark Eveleigh grew up in West Africa, and dreamt of a life as a traveller and adventurer. He spent most of the last decade travelling in remote areas of South and Central America, South-East Asia and Africa. Initially he financed his travels by working as a pipe-layer, delivery driver, bouncer, security guard, and a salesman of perfumes and oil paintings. He screen-printed t-shirts in Ecuador and sold time shares in the French West Indies before deciding, at the age of 26, to become a travel writer.
Today he lives in Madrid with his wife Blanca. Here he writes articles for various international newspapers and magazines, and plans new trips.
