This book contains nine legends from the Bara ethnic region of Madagascar. The stories are told and illustrated by local children aged between 9 and 12, with the words then transcribed into the official Malagasy dialect. The 'Tsingolangola' of the book's title is an invented name for a bird that appears in one of the tales.
