Im vorliegenden TERRALOG-Band werden die Geckos Madagaskars, der Seychellen, Komoren und der Maskarenen vorgestellt. Zu den bekanntesten Vertretern der Geckofauna, welche die Inselwelt des westlichen Indischen Ozeans besiedelt, gehören vor allem die Arten der Gattungen Phelsuma und Uroplatus. Dieser Band zeigt Fotos einiger bislang unbeschriebener Formen und berücksichtigt die neuesten taxonomischen Erkenntnisse zur Systematik der Gattung Phelsuma.
