This informational leaflet is provided to assist readers at the library of the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. It gives an overview of the Africa section, including the Hardyman Madagascar Collection held at the SOAS Library, about which a separate leaflet is also available. The Hardyman Madagascar Collection comprises 3,000 works and was donated to the library by the retired missionary Rev. James Hardyman and his wife Marjorie in 1991.
